September 2025 SolarBK Newsletter Policy unlocks clean energy, infrastructure accelerates, manufacturers face green transition pressure

Publish date 01/10/2025

September 2025 paints a “split picture”: Vietnam’s energy policy continues to clear regulatory bottlenecks for clean energy; power generation and grid infrastructure enter an acceleration phase; while domestic manufacturers grapple with green transition, supply chain traceability, and rising capital costs.

For SolarBK, this is the moment to reinforce its role as the “Green Energy Architect” — delivering fully compliant, end-to-end solutions of PV + BESS + EMS for commercial & industrial (C&I) and green industrial parks, enabling customers to optimize electricity costs, meet ESG/DPPA requirements, and future-proof their operations.

POLICY & MARKET

Nuclear power returns, distributed renewables remain the short- to mid-term backbone

On September 17, Tuổi Trẻ reported that Khanh Hoa province proposed a “special mechanism package” to fast-track Ninh Thuan 1 & 2 nuclear plants. The proposal includes fiscal–social incentives, land clearance support, synchronized infrastructure, and enhanced public communication. While nuclear is preparing for the long term, distributed renewables and storage remain the primary solution for near-term industrial demand — perfectly aligned with SolarBK’s roadmap.

DPPA enacted but lacks execution clarity

On September 25, Dân Việt highlighted that at the forum “Renewable Energy Empowering Enterprises,” businesses voiced concerns over DPPA implementation gaps — unclear grid usage fees, netting methods, metering, and one-stop permitting. These bottlenecks make financing models hard to structure. SolarBK can leverage this gap by bundling EPC + registration + fire safety + compliance + DPPA consulting, easing risk for large clients.

EVN power mix shows untapped space for C&I rooftop + BESS

EVN’s August report shows total generation at 214.5 TWh for the first 8 months, with renewables only ~12.8%. This indicates a large remaining headroom for distributed PV+BESS, especially for cost-control and peak-shaving.

INFRASTRUCTURE & SUPPLY

Nhon Trach 3 LNG (750 MW) set for COD November 2025

Báo Đầu tư (Sept 20) confirmed PV Power’s 750 MW Nhon Trach 3 LNG plant will enter commercial operation this November. LNG adds flexible baseload for southern Vietnam, stabilizing the grid and enabling more renewables integration — creating a more reliable environment for C&I rooftop + BESS investments.

Green industrial parks move from vision to execution

VnExpress and Báo Đầu tư (Sept 22–25) reported HCMC and Binh Duong approving >780 ha of high-tech mechanical green IPs. Van Phong Economic Zone (Khanh Hoa) also launched sustainable mega-projects with a “one-stop” FDI policy. The rise of green IPs signals real market demand for integrated PV + BESS + EMS + SLA solutions — an area where SolarBK has a competitive edge via its ERIS digital monitoring platform.

DOMESTIC INDUSTRY & CRITICAL SECTORS

Silver prices rise, fossil fuels ease — PV supply chain cost pressure

Global silver prices climb on Fed rate cut expectations, pushing PV cell material costs up, while oil & gas prices soften on stable supply. SolarBK must hedge procurement and manage module/inverter inventory to protect project margins.

Textile & garment exports under ESG and traceability pressure

Hải quan – Tài chính (Sept 26): Vietnam’s textile exports hit USD 30.7B YTD; to reach USD 48B, the sector must speed up ~USD 4B/month while complying with strict ESG and traceability rules. SolarBK can offer PV + BESS + smart metering + ESG reporting for energy-intensive textile/dyeing plants.

Steel rebounds with public investment and lower raw material costs

Đầu tư Chứng khoán (Sept 21): Domestic steel demand +9% YoY, HRC/CRC recovering, coking coal easing. SolarBK can target large roof steel and mechanical factories, combining PV+BESS with thermal solutions (solar water heating, heat pumps) to enhance ROI.

PARTNERSHIPS & CAPITAL FLOW

Vingroup breaks ground on Tan Trao Green IP & Hai Phong LNG power hub

Vietnamnet (Sept 24): Vingroup kicked off the Tan Trao industrial park and a 4,800 MW LNG power plant (>VND 178T). This “IP + strategic power” model is expected to attract hi-tech FDI and raise demand for stable green power — a gateway for SolarBK to supply PV + BESS + ERIS for park tenants.

SOLARBK HIGHLIGHTS – SEPTEMBER 2025

Clean energy in tourism: ITE HCMC 2025

On Sept 5, SolarBK joined the “Clean Energy in Tourism Development” panel, showcasing solar + storage for resorts & hotels. Case studies like Alma Resort (saving ~VND 12B/year) and Majestic Hotel’s solar water heating (10–25k L/day) resonated with investors, generating 8 new leads in green tourism.

Driving innovation: Energy Innovation Forum 2025

On Sept 18, SolarBK presented its nearly 20-year innovation journey, featuring IREX solar manufacturing and ERIS digital monitoring, while sharing policy insights on domestic manufacturing incentives and R&D. The event strengthened SolarBK’s role as Vietnam’s clean energy tech leader and policy voice.

Benchmark project: Leading Star Thanh Hoa COD

On Sept 19, SolarBK commissioned a 999.9 kWp rooftop solar system at Leading Star Factory (Bim Son IP). Completed in under 3 months with ERIS monitoring, the project will cut ~769 tCO₂/year — now a flagship reference for northern C&I clients.

Green Training 2025 – ESG & Sustainable Transition

On Sept 23, SolarBK and HCMC Green Business Association hosted Green Training 2025, gathering 50+ leaders from IFC, Deloitte, SEDEX, Green Transition… The event earned “Green Event” recognition and reinforced SolarBK’s commitment to sustainable investment and ESG advisory leadership.

STRATEGIC INSIGHT

September signals a policy fine-tuning era with infrastructure risks easing and green IPs moving from concept to reality. Nuclear and LNG re-emerge as long-term anchors, but distributed renewables + storage remain the core mid-term solution. Manufacturers face ESG/DPPA compliance, traceability, and cost challenges.

SolarBK — with local IREX production, ERIS digitalization, and international-standard EPC — stands as the trusted Green Energy Architect, helping businesses secure ROI, ensure ESG compliance, and navigate the complex policy & cost landscape.
