SolarBK, Pioneering Vietnam’s Renewable Energy Ecosystem

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Nguyen Duy Thinh – Director of Investment and Development at SolarBK, emphasized the company’s nearly 20-year journey in building a comprehensive solar energy value chain, from solar panel manufacturing (IREX) to EPC, ESCO, O&M, and digital energy management platforms.

Rooted in Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, SolarBK was founded by engineers driven by a vision to “connect communities through renewable energy”, SolarBK has not only delivered high-quality clean energy solutions but also contributed to carbon neutrality and sustainable growth nationwide.

At the heart of SolarBK’s ecosystem is IREX, the only Vietnamese manufacturer of internationally certified solar panels, boasting 350 MWp/year capacity and 100% automated production. SolarBK also commits to collecting and recycling solar panels at end-of-life, a vital step toward a circular economy and Net Zero future.

Flexible Investment Models, Empowering Businesses to Go Green

SolarBK showcased diverse C&I solar investment models that help enterprises save costs while advancing ESG goals:
  • EPC – Businesses invest directly, achieving ROI within 5–7 years, supported by 70/30 bank loans.
  • ESCO – SolarBK finances the entire system; clients use electricity 20–50% cheaper than EVN.
  • DPPA – Power Purchase Agreements via the EVN grid, ideal for large-scale consumers under MOIT supervision.
A standout example is the Perfetti Van Melle Vietnam rooftop solar project:
  • Capacity: 1.5 MWp
  • Annual output: 2.19 million kWh
  • Cost savings: 4.9 billion VND/year
  • Energy reduction: 17%
This project illustrates the tangible benefits of PPA models and the value of clean, sustainable energy solutions.

Digital Energy Platform, Smart Transition for a Sustainable Future

SolarBK has built Vietnam’s first digital clean energy management platform, supporting 2,000+ operational projects, 300 real-time monitoring systems, and 200 data points nationwide.

The platform enables data analysis, energy optimization, and smart reporting, empowering businesses to manage their energy with transparency and efficiency.
Alongside, SolarBK promotes Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to accelerate Vietnam’s participation in global green credit and ESG markets.
