SolarBK Joins HUBA, Strengthening Connections within Ho Chi Minh City’s Business Ecosystem

Publish date 06/02/2026

In late January, Bach Khoa Solar Energy Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (SolarBK) officially became a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), marking a new milestone in its deeper integration into the city’s business community and its participation in Ho Chi Minh City’s multi-sector business ecosystem.

Established in 1975, HUBA serves as a bridge between the business community and the Ho Chi Minh City government, representing enterprises across various industries and economic sectors. The association plays an important role in policy dialogue and advocacy, improving the business environment, and supporting enterprise development. HUBA currently has nearly 17,000 member companies, including more than 700 large enterprises, with a total workforce of over 5 million employees, primarily operating in the trade–service, industrial–manufacturing, and construction sectors.

Joining HUBA marks an important step in SolarBK’s strategy to expand connections and cooperation in Ho Chi Minh City. On this foundation, SolarBK continues to affirm its position as a pioneering enterprise in Vietnam in the investment and provision of comprehensive solar power solutions, encompassing research, manufacturing, design, engineering–procurement–construction (EPC), and operation and maintenance (O&M). After 20 years of operation, SolarBK has implemented numerous large-scale and strategically significant projects, including the solar power system in the Truong Sa Archipelago (8.5 MWp), the VinFast Hai Phong factory (30 MWp), the LEGO Binh Duong factory (7.3 MWp), and the Vincom Retail shopping mall chain (16 MWp).

In 2025, amid increasingly clear requirements related to ESG, CBAM, and the competitive electricity market, SolarBK is focusing on preparing for a new phase of transformation. The establishment of the ESCO NEXT joint venture with Banpu NEXT marks a shift from the traditional EPC role toward developing comprehensive energy models such as ESCO and PPA, enabling businesses to access clean electricity without bearing initial capital investment pressure. A series of projects across the global supply chain, from VinFast, LEGO, Sedo Vinako, and Leading Star to enterprises in the textile, wood, and building materials industries—demonstrates that clean energy “mastered by Vietnamese” is gradually becoming an integral part of corporate governance and a sustainable competitive advantage for businesses.

At the same time, SolarBK owns the IREX factory, one of the few facilities in Southeast Asia capable of manufacturing solar panels for both domestic use and export. The company has also developed ERIS, a cloud-based platform for monitoring and managing more than 2,000 distributed solar power systems, supporting performance tracking, remote troubleshooting, and energy optimization.

Entering 2026, SolarBK identifies this as the starting year of its 2026–2030 development phase, with an orientation toward expansion through structure rather than speed. The company positions itself as a Green Power Retailer, developing an ecosystem that includes SolarESCO, SolarGATES, and ERIS, aiming toward a model of “distributed power plants” ranging from households to commercial–industrial and utility scales, while also building energy trading and carbon credit platforms. The focus during this phase is on completing SolarGATES, expanding the network to enable clean energy to reach deeper into residential areas, while simultaneously strengthening the role of the IREX factory as a strategic supplier within the value chain.

Entering the new year, SolarBK continues to reaffirm its development philosophy centered on the message “Bring Green Energy to Life”—making green energy a vibrant part of systems, businesses, and everyday life, not only through individual projects but through comprehensive, flexible, and scalable long-term energy platforms.

Welcoming the new member, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of HUBA, congratulated SolarBK on officially joining the association and expressed his expectation that the company would leverage its technological strengths and implementation experience to accompany HUBA in business networking activities, policy dialogue, and the promotion of green transformation.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh, Deputy General Director of SolarBK, stated that becoming a HUBA member is an opportunity for the company to strengthen connections, learn, and participate more deeply in the activities of Ho Chi Minh City’s business community. She expressed sincere appreciation to HUBA for its trust and warm welcome, and conveyed SolarBK’s desire to continue receiving companionship, support, and connectivity from HUBA in its upcoming development journey.

With a 20-year operational foundation and a clear development orientation, SolarBK’s membership in HUBA is expected to help the company strengthen connections with the major business community in Ho Chi Minh City, engage more deeply in the city’s sustainable development ecosystem, and make positive contributions to the green transformation of Vietnamese enterprises.
